While learning the Ancient Art of String Figures we discovered the magic of photographs and videos of the process. Dave Titus' videos are a delight and to be found at www.stringfigurestore.com. We had taken the process to a different point. We noticed that the figures relate to place names and have performed the figure at the place given in the story and present them here both in the physical location and as a vision of my mana'o. The photos were taken on an Olympus Digital Camera and processed directly on a Macintosh laptop computer using Adobe Photoshop and Graphic Convertor (a shareware program obtainable from Thorston Lemke at http://www.lemkesoft.com/
The videos have been produced on Canon's GL-1 and GL-2 and processed on our Macs (yes growth comes in all forms and operating systems). The growth of on-line video is of age and we have grown into the medium as well using You Tube as a point of focus.
