On nights of the dark moon on the shores of west Kaua'i in the area of Mana, those brave enough, or perhaps foolish enough, may see the building of hale (village) in the mirages that are said to occur about those nights. We took the images at sunset to be safe and we wanted to see and feel the effect of performing this figure along with it's companion figure, called Mountain. To perform or see this figure performed is soul stretching.
