String Figure Broom is an easy figure performed by children everywhere. Tension is important in getting this figure to work. It is seen here at Lumaha'i Beach on the North Shore of Kaua'i Island. The beach seems to have been swept clean by the wave action, as if by a magical broom. The shore line here is always swept clean although debris is seen back by the tree line and along the Lumaha'i stream which ends at the point of rock seen in the background.
